Marilyn Monroe by Jock Carroll 1952

Marilyn Monroe by Jock Carroll 1952

One of my favorite Marilyn Monroe sittings shot by Photographer Jock Carroll. Posing whilst seductively learning to smoke a cigarette, this is Marilyn during the filming of the filming of Niagara (1952), in which she played the femme fatale seductress Rose.

This is the film when Norma Jeane perfected the classic marilyn Monroe image. tousled blonde/pin-curled hair with a contrast of perfect make up of arched brows, cat eyeliner and laquered red lips and the infamous beauty spot on the right cheek. The Niagara wardrobe by Dorothy Jeakins showcases marilyns ultimate bomshell hourglass with seductive off shoulder bodice and figure hugging pencils complete with heels.
